I'm the the second son in our family, and all the male side was or is into motorcycles, with the support of our Mother, She got to travel around Europe.

My father was a fairly successful road racer in the small bike category, 50/125/250cc.

3rd IOM TT 1968, 50cc class, and 8th in world championship at 54 years.

My brother Michael, was a hill climb champion in the 70's, and I road raced for ten years in the UK also after I moved to New Zealand in 1974. I've raced mainly Yamaha TZ 250 / 350 machines back in the 70's and once raced a Manx Norton early on. Raced in the Isle of Man twice, finished about mid field both times.

I was a partner with G.S.L. Motorcycles in Downend Bristol, mostly selling and servicing MZ's where I get my interest from, but I had a large respect for their racing machines back in the 1950's and 60's. They set the two stroke standard.

So now i'm into travel at this later stage in life now being single again, and wish I had done it sooner.
